My school has found an apartment for us, but they want me to pay half of the housing deposit, which comes to roughly $8500; this is approximately $8500 more than we have. Good times...anyone wanna buy a car?
[edit 11 August 2010] The apartment was renting before the school could get to it. They're now looking for a new one...
Hey, As someone living in Korea, that is shady. Most schools would never ask that of you. Also, weird that you couldn't get them F-3 visas while in Korea. You should be able to do that. My daughter and I got F-3 visas while we were already in Korea. Granted, she was born here and I was on an E-2 and changed over to an F-3
ReplyDeleteThank you for your advice! Mine is a special situation, because I am bringing a family. I was offered a studio apartment at no cost, but because I required a larger apartment, they've ask me to pay the extra cost. I'm also working at a public school and I do not doubt their honesty.
ReplyDeleteAs far as visas go, I'll have to look again. According to the information I received, they weren't able to change travel to f-3, but It's very possible that I misunderstood. Thanks again!
