Now that I'm no longer in Korea, I'll probably be using this blog instead.

Blogger is garbage...

The blogger composition interface has become terrible and almost unworkable. I've been meaning to upload pictures, but it's been nearly impossible to have any sort of organization. In the future, posts will be much smaller. Here's a picture of my new tattoo:

The word "Sarang" or "Love" is taken from a print made by a Christian artist named
이용구. It depicts a person washing another's feet. The prints I have seen are accompanied with a biblical text (Jesus washing his disciples' feet) or the text "Love each other as Jesus loved". The tattooist seemed to think getting "love" tattooed was a little silly: "So, you really like lllllove?", but I like the message of love as servant-hood, and I wanted to find something distinctly Korean to commemorate my time that also represents my own spiritual leanings. A week or two later, my neighbor had me take her to get her first tattoo. She said she wanted to do it to better understand "our" culture. What a way! I wonder if she has told her husband about it yet?
